It is with great regret that we need to inform you of the County’s decision to close KooteNet. Over the past couple of years as county residents migrated from dialup service to the more useful forms of internet access such as ADSL and Cable, KooteNet’s client base shrank from a high of over twenty six hundred to our current numbers below five hundred. Today KooteNet is no longer self supporting, and the decision has been made to shut it down. We will maintain access for everyone for the next couple of months to give everyone an opportunity to switch to a new internet service provider and to inform your family, friends, and business associates of the change in your email address. October 1st, 2008. From this point forward we will no longer be accepting payments for future service. To assist you in this transition we have listed the phone numbers of the local providers.
